Attack of the killer SUVs!

Two SUVs tried to kill me recently.
Ok, maybe it was the people driving them.
Either way.

I was headed out on Truxtun extension. It's two lanes either direction. I was in the inside lane. A lady in a GINORMOUS white Suburban was going along next to me. We were pretty much door to door when I noticed her getting closer, RAPIDLY.

She was changing lanes into my lane! And it wasn't one of those "move over a little, notice you're about to smear someone into the pavement and quickly move back" kind of moves.

She was moving over! It was like I wasn't there!

I had to scoot into the middle of the road and slam on my brakes and there she went rumbling down the road in what had previously been my lane while I had to rev up to get out of the way of traffic behind me.

I got alongside her again and looked over, she was talking on the cell phone, totally oblivious.

Then a gold Yukon pulled into my lane as I was turning left onto Brimhall. It's two lanes and I was, foolishly, in one of the two.

But the dude in the Yukon wasn't buying it. Again, I had to hit the brakes to keep from getting whacked.
